91 Points, Wine Spectator (2018 vintage) The Chalk Hill Estate Pinot Noir is bright and concentrated with black cherry, cocoa, and raspberry. Smooth with supple tannins, the wine’s silky texture brings forth a palate full of juicy, red berry fruits with hibiscus flower wrapped around decadent dark chocolate. Its elegant finish and balanced acidity make it a versatile food-pairing wine. Our story started in 1972 with a vision to plant grapes along the diverse terrain of Sonoma County’s rolling hills. Chalk Hill Winery lies within a small AVA which bears the same name and has been producing highly acclaimed wines led by its flagship Estate Chardonnay. Meticulous attention to detail, decades of clonal research, sustainable viticulture practices and a minimalist approach to winemaking all combine to produce wines of character, richness and elegance.
